It’s even more exciting this year with the breathtaking location of The Lake District!

Go on and MAKE IT A WEEKEND GETAWAY and experience a Summer Hike in one of England’s most beautiful locations!

With your support, we aim to raise £30,000 for Field Kitchens, Medical Aid and Wheelchairs distributed in Gaza inshaAllah!

Calling all Men, Women and Children (6yrs+) from London to Birmingham, York to Leicester, Peterborough to Northampton and beyond! Picture a day of thrilling hikes, conquering England’s Third Highest Peak, the Mighty Helvellyn!

Back by popular demand, we are offering two stunning routes!

  1. AIRA FORCE – a family-friendly, scenic hike through beautiful trails, breathtaking lakes and waterfalls!
  2. HELVELLYN – a dynamic and challenging ascent to England’s Third Highest Peak involving scrambles, ridges and rocks!

Refreshments, snacks and a warm base camp have been arranged for your convenience so mark your calendars for Saturday 27th June, 2026.

🎉 We have some exciting updates! Even though our Gaza Emergency Response campaign ended months ago. Two amazing things have happened that we wanted to share with you!

  1. 🌹 You never stopped giving!
    Your generosity continued to pour in with Thousands more pounds of donations, allowing us to extend our food aid operations (new video below👇🏽). You watched as the aid reached the hands of those in need, and your unwavering support kept it going. As Malcolm X once said, “When ‘I’ is replaced with ‘We,’ even illness becomes wellness.” You made that wellness a reality for countless displaced families in Gaza!

  2. 🚛 Our golden supply chain is proven!
    Word has spread about MKCT’s incredible network that delivered aid directly into Gaza. Other organizations and businesses have reached out, wanting to partner with us, so now, we’re positioned to help on a larger scale than ever before!

🎖️The real heroes behind all this success are you—the families, members and donors of the Khumbar Community. Your support has been the backbone of MKCT, laying the foundations for the overwhelming success we’ve achieved in 2023 and 2024.

🚨 Emergency Update: Chai in the Park Event Postponed🚨

Due to the escalating anti-immigration riots spreading across the UK, MKCT has made the difficult decision to postpone the Chai in the Park event this Saturday. This decision has not been taken lightly.

Your safety and well-being are our top priority. Given the current climate, we feel it is our responsibility to ensure that our community is not put at unnecessary risk.

We urge all community members to take extra precautions during these heightened times. Our religious identity, skin colour, and culture have unfortunately been unjustly targeted by far-right groups. Please remain vigilant and stay safe.

A new date for the event will be announced in the near future inshaAllah.

UKMKA Summer sports Event!

Following on from last year’s wonderful UKMKA Football Tournament we are back again this year with an even bigger sporting event!

We are delighted to announce the UKMKA Summer Sports Event 2024

After demand from our community we are incorporating additional sporting events to make it an enjoyable day for all. This year’s Summer Sports Event will host the following:

  • UKMKA Football Tournament 2024
  • Volleyball for Men
  • Badminton for Women & Children
  • Arts & Crafts activity tables for children.

Sporting Event Details:

Date: Bank Holiday Monday 26th August 2024
Time: 10:30 AM
Venue: Moseley Sports Centre, College Rd, Birmingham, B13 9LR

Refreshments will be provided at The UKMKA Sport Event. This will then be followed by dinner at the UKMKA Centre, 134 Bromford Drive, Birmingham, B36 8TY.

Badminton for Women & Children – this is a free event for women & children. Please just attend on the day and join in. No fees or registration are required.

We will also arrange Arts & Crafts activity tables for children.

Volleyball for Men – this is a pre-planned event where we will require anyone who wishes to participate to notify us by booking in via the Eventbrite link. This is so that we can arrange teams prior to the start of the event. Volleyball facilities will be up and running throughout the entire course of the event (5 hours) 10:30 to 15:30. For volleyball we humbly request a small £5 donation per player who wishes to participate. This can either be paid in advance using the account details below or on the day to Dr Amman Bolia.

UKMKA Football Tournament 2024

This is a 7-a-side tournament with a maximum squad size of 11 players.

We Will Insha’Allah look to hold two tournaments.

You can Enter by registering your team on the eventbrite link below. Entry is on a first come basis. Please confirm registration as soon as possible so we can finalise scheduling of matches.

The registration deadline is 4th August 2024.

Entry fee for each Adult Team entered is £100

TREK 4 GAZA – Campaign Update

Wow, Alhamdulillah!

Can you believe it? In just 6 weeks, we’ve accomplished so much: 🏆

  1. We’ve not only met but more than doubled our original target, smashing through the £35k mark!
  2. Arranged for a dedicated lorry to deliver your Amanah during the holy month of Ramadan, inshaAllah!
  3. With Allah Almighty’s help, we’re even sending an extra £5k to provide emergency food aid through existing convoys ASAP!

And that’s not all, our Community has even more to celebrate: 🎉

  1. From London to Birmingham, York to Leicester, Peterborough to Northampton, and beyond, we’ve had Snowdon Trek participants from all over!
  2. MashaAllah, we’ve had participants ranging from 8 years old to 70!
  3. Plus, we’ve had a fantastic mix of men, women, and children joining in, both as families and individuals!

With Ramadan right around the corner, we know donations are still pouring in, especially for those Trekkers close to their personal fundraising targets. So let’s keep spreading the word and raising awareness to reach those goals. We’ll make sure to allocate a second round of donations to Gaza near the end of Ramadan, inshaAllah.

Emergency Aid Palestine Appeal Update

Alhamdulillah, through the mercy and blessings of Allah Almighty, our brother Yusuf was able to distribute your Amanah. The temporary ceasefire provided a window of opportunity, and we seized it to deliver the Emergency Food Parcels to those in need.

MKCT working with GRT to deliver Vital Equipment to Gaza

Asalaamualaikum everyone,

MKCT (Muslim Kumbhar Community Trust) and GRT (Global Relief Trust) have been on an extraordinary journey to deliver 8 Ambulances and 2 Fire Truck convoys to Gaza. The dedicated volunteers leading this mission have shown unwavering commitment, self-funding their trip, and dedicating their time to ensure that every donated penny directly supports the cause in Gaza.

The journey from Berlin to Turkey, spanning three to four days, involved traversing multiple countries. However, a critical update at the Turkish border last night highlighted the challenges they faced. The team endured extensive 16-hour border checks, including people and vehicle x-rays, along with rigorous documentation and interviews to validate the mission’s purpose and objectives. These obstacles underscore the dedication and determination of the team to overcome hurdles in their path.

As the situation on the ground in Gaza remains perilous due to the ongoing ground invasion and intense bombing, humanitarian corridors have been closed. Nevertheless, the team is collaborating closely with the Turkish Red Crescent in Ankara and Istanbul to ensure that the vehicles can be deployed to Gaza at the earliest opportunity.
